Suhasini: The Venture

After attending Deepa’s school function as her mother, Suhasini and Deepa began their adventure frequently going out as a mother-daughter duo. But there was a stroke of misfortune waiting for the mother…

As I parked my car, I saw the boys stepping forward towards my car laughing and hooting. I picked up Deepa and began to walk towards the lift without daring to look at them. “Yo… look at him”, one of the boys began to shout. “Bro…It’s not him … it’s her”, another boy sarcastically replied.

As I pressed the button and waited for the lift, I could feel them closer to me than ever. Their sarcastic tone turned into serious harassment and began to call me names followed by insults and threats. As soon as the lift arrived, I pressed my floor and quickly covered my face as one of them unlocked his mobile to take a picture of me.

As I parked my car, I saw the boys stepping forward towards my car laughing and hooting.

While walking towards my door controlling my tears, I saw Aarthi standing in front giving me a stare. I opened the door brushing her aside and let myself in. “You have made a big mistake”, she pointed me on the fact that I should have never ventured alone outside. “If it makes my daughter happy, I am even ready to do a bigger one”, I thanked for her concern and shut the door.

After Deepa slept, I removed my polish using the remover. Lying in my bed, I recollected the events which spiked my adrenaline uncontrollably. Though the events in the car park churned my stomach a bit, I felt something different when I thought about the school function. The student’s dance,  Deepa’s smile, crowd’s cheer and funny cough syrup incident made me strangely happy.  Viewing the world from mother’s eyes felt like liberation from prison in which I confined myself by distancing myself from Deepa when I was her father. At that moment, I felt like I can never give her the happiness I saw on her face as her father.

Since it was Saturday the next morning, I woke up late and it was surprising to see Deepa preparing coffee for me. “Ta da”, she gave me a cup and sat near me for my comments. “Hmm…”, she raised her eyebrows and bit her lips as I took a sip. “Perfect!”, she jumped in joy as I kissed on her forehead. “Go watch TV. Mommy will come”, I spontaneously said even though she never asked.

I quickly refreshed and took one old saree from my wife’s wardrobe. The next 30 minutes was spent in makeup and draping. “What shall we do today?”, I stepped into kitchen asking for her opinion. “We shall go by rest”, just as she was about to complete.

“What?”, I gave a smirk. “I said gobi recipe”, she fine tuned herself into Einstein and changed her answer. “Seriously?”, I gave another smirk leaning on the kitchen wall. “Yeah…yeah”, she replied without looking at me.

“Are you sure? I think I heard GO BY RESTAURANT”, I latched on to her answer. “No…no”, she now turned from Einstein to innocent baby.

“Okay. Gobi it is”, I laughed silently and began to prepare lunch. “Why don’t we go by restau…”, I rekindled our conversation while eating lunch. “Yes … yes … Gobi recipe for night”, she tried her level best to steer clear while gulping her food.

“No dummy, I said we shall go by restaurant”, she looked stunned with her mouth full of rice. “Seriously?”, she quickly gulped her food and looked at me in shock. “Yup … I am serio …”, she quickly jumped out and hugged me tight.

I fed Deepa her lunch while we discussed our plans for the rest of the day. It was such a cute moment in my life as a mother.

“So where shall we go?” I asked for opinion while hugging her. Thus I began my (ad)venture with daughter into outside world.

“How about this place? … no … How about this one?… no”, after a few minutes of critical discussion we decided to go for a movie and dine in food court of that mall. The reason behind such selection was that “more the crowd, less the attention I get”. Soon I booked two corner tickets for evening show and prepared myself for the rollercoaster ride. For a change, I opted for modern black top and blue jeans to blend in mall freely. Deepa as usual got ready early and waited for me to complete my makeup and hair.

“How do I look?” I hesitantly came out asking as I was not convinced 100 percent about my looks. Deepa glanced from top to bottom and went inside bedroom which made me scratch my head. After pondering around, she came out with my wife’s purse and a black cooling glass. She fitted the glass and handed the purse over to me.

“Perfect!”, she gave her approval and lead me to the door. Once again as precaution, I covered my head with a scarf and reached out for the lift. “Shh…”, I requested to remain silent as I quickly glanced around to see if anyone was present nearby. “Area clear”, we both rushed towards our car and left to the mall.

“Welcome to Moviezone madam”, I gave a quick smile as the authority checked my ticket. We thoroughly enjoyed the movie without any second thoughts.

“Two popcorn and coke, please”, the person at counter gave a puzzled look as I ordered. “Mmm… Throat infection…”, I pretended to clear my throat and gave a wry smile. “Oh…”, his expression changed back to normal and came back with my
order. This entire episode repeated itself when I ordered my menu at food court.

We roamed around the mall and even gathered courage to step into shopping center to look for new dress. I never looked out of place as we enjoying to the core till 10pm.

z1
I went out as a mother to watch a movie with Deepa in a mall. I decided to wear a black top and jeans to blend easily with the mall crowd. Going out with Deepa had opened up a new world for me.

During our return, I decided to tread carefully and looked around the basement for those boys. “Phew…”, I was relieved to see basement empty. We reached our
apartment and changed back to normal dress.

“Deepa”, I picked up a conversation while putting my daughter to sleep. “Yeah”, she looked at me hugging her teddy. “Tomorrow… Hmmm … Do you want to Gobi (or) Go by”, I teased her with my sentence. “Definitely GO BY”, we both laughed hysterically looking at each other and began our critical discussion on where to dine tomorrow.

The next day, we decided to level up our game and went to a five star hotel. As usual I played my cough syrup game and generously tipped the waiter while leaving. With three trails proving success, we decided to up the ante in coming weeks.

Soon the boring weekends turned into thrillers as we partied in several social places. My fear turned into excitement, normal dresses to stellar sarees, and rugged beards to soft clean shaves and so on. To my annoyance, the insults from those boys continued as well.

Being her mother in public uplifted my mood during the weekdays. My feminine energy totally complimented my work and everyone in my workplace was surprised to see me happy like never before.

z1
Over the weekends, I would transform into a diva and a mother who would do everything to take care of her daughter.

Over the weekends, me a day job employee transformed into a diva and electrified the entire world. As the days turned into months, my persona as her mother took over our life and I prayed every day that it stayed that way.

On such weekend, “How do I look?” I stood in front as usual for her approval. “Huh, deep cut blouse …”, she opened her mouth in awe as she saw me wearing a deep back blouse for the first time. “Surprise!” I turned around making my free flowing pallu dance in the air. “Just Wow”, she approved me of my new try.

As usual, we went for a movie and dined in a five star restaurant. This time I needed no cough syrup as I had total grip on my feminine tone. It was 10pm when we reached the basement and Deepa had already begun to chat about tomorrow’s plan.

“Sanctuary?… Theme park? … How about Aquarium?”, she stacked her opinion as I stood carrying her waiting in front of lift.

“Anything you … ”, before I could complete my sentence. “MOMMY!”, Deepa screamed at the top of her lungs. “THUD” Someone struck me with an object from behind, as I slowly fell to the floor. I groaned in pain only to realize it was those boys who hit me. With bare conscious I saw lift door opening, “Run”, I pointed Deepa to get onto the lift.

As the lift door closed, one of the boys stood in front of me pointing his baseball bat near my head and began to throw insults. Tear began to flow and I begged him to stop.

z1

“Just DIE……THUD”, the last sound I heard was his bat striking my head as I was knocked unconscious.

Suhasini: The School

Deepa forces her “mother” Suhasini to come to her school function. How will Suhasini manage this? What if she gets caught?

“Mommy, it’s late”, I could hear Deepa’s mumbles behind the shut door. “Coming…”, I replied in low voice as I was adjusting my pleats. Since this was special occasion, I opted for a green saree from my wife’s wardrobe. “Dress… check… Jewels… check… Wig… check”, I mumbled to myself as I checked for any corrections. Since this was first time venturing outside, I opted for minimal makeup comprised of maroon lipstick, mascara and a small red bindi. For jewels, I opted for few bangles and small pendant. I opted to keep my hair loose, since I my attempt to braid my hair turned into a colossal failure.

Satisfied with my makeup and dress and I opened the door and saw Deepa watching TV. Dressed in matching green floral dress, she looked at me and gave an innocent smile. “Let’s go”, I grabbed the car keys and switched off the TV. Deepa quickly ran to bedroom and checked herself in mirror for final makeup corrections, making me chuckle a bit. “I am done”, she locked the room and grabbed my hand as we reached for the main door.

As soon as I unlocked the door, my hands began to shiver and my palms began to sweat. I froze like a statue as my mind began to imagine worse things. I glanced at Deepa to check her expressions. To my surprise, Deepa was in a completely different world, she brimmed with pride as she held my hand. In her eyes, I am her mother and she was happy that me as her mother is taking her to school function. Taking confidence from her, “Winners don’t quit”, I took a big breath and opened my door to the world. Since the time was 6pm, the clouds were setting in and it was pretty much dark acting as an advantage. I quickly locked the door and reached for the elevator. Fortunately, the lift was free and I quickly pressed the basement button followed by lift close option to prevent anyone from entering the lift.

As the lift closed, I prayed to god that it must not stop anywhere till it reaches the basement. Seeing me praying like a child, Deepa began to laugh hysterically. “Wh… what?”, I gave a confused look still praying to god. She somehow controlled her laughter and pointed her finger to my hands. “Huh… so you notice at last”, I showed her my nails which I painted with green nail polish as icing on cake. “Cool!”, she grabbed my hand and inspected my nails with awe.

As lift reached the basement, I grew in confidence. “Shall we?” I gave a wink as she held my hand. “I am her mother and No one can stop can me from being her mother”, I repeated to myself as we began to walk towards our car. “I am her mother and No one can stop me … I am her mother and No one … Oh shit”, my jaws dropped to the floor as I saw our flat watchmen standing near my car and arguing with those rich boys.

“Shhh …”, I ordered Deepa to keep quiet as I took her and hid behind another car. In those few minutes of their argument, my worst fears played before my eyes as I held Deepa close to my heart than ever. After 10 minutes, both boys and watchman left the place cursing at each other. After ensuring that they were gone, I slowly took baby steps carefully and reached my car.

Suddenly, I heard footsteps behind me and I quickly pulled the saree over my head like a veil. “Sorry, my bike keys fell somewhere here”, one of the boys began to search for his keys. As he was in a hurry, he did not bother to look at me properly. “Ahh… here it is”, he grabbed the keys and retreated his steps. I unlocked the car door and saw Deepa seating herself comfortably.

Just as I was to about to start, “Isn’t this Mr.Guhan’s car?”, he returned back giving me a confused look. He slowly stepped aside solving the puzzle in his head. As I started my car, his look changed from confusion to shock indicating that he has indeed solved it.

On the way to the school, his expressions flashed my mind over and over again. After reaching near school, I choose an empty lot near the school back gate and parked the car. “School, Yay!!”, Deepa screamed as she heard the songs that were playing in the auditorium. Still haunted by his looks, I decided to tread carefully and pulled the saree over my head. The back gate was completely empty with just one guard standing post. As soon as he saw me, “Good evening madam”, he jumped from his post and sported a big smile. I gave a smile and shied away towards the school auditorium.

The auditorium was completely dark except the bright centre stage where students of different standards were dancing for a movie song. Everyone was so busy enjoying the performance, none of them bothered to notice me entering the auditorium. I found an empty seat near the corner and seated myself in a feminine way possible.

“It’s okay … No need to panic”, I calmed myself looking at Deepa who was totally immersed in watching the dance. After minutes passed my confidence grew and slowly I joined Deepa in her celebrations. With continuous claps and occasional shouts, I thoroughly enjoyed the show that students put up.

Suddenly, I felt someone pulling my saree and turned around to check who it was. Deepa was looking at me with weird expression. “What?”, I whispered in her ears amidst the loud crowd. She slowly lifted her pinky finger while giving more bizarre expressions. I understood what she meant and took to the restroom and waited outside.

“Hi”, a mother who was waiting outside started a conversation. “Mmmm…”, I sported a shy smile, but refrained myself from speaking. “You saree looks great”, she started to compliment my dress. I still stood like a statue with just a smile without uttering any words. “Nice matching dress”, her compliments made me shy but still kept my mouth shut. Before her face expressions turned into something else, I gathered courage and uttered “Thank you” in a low feminine tone.

z1
Another mother complimented me on my choice of my saree matching with my daughter’s dress. But when I said thank you to her on her compliments, she got a little confused with my voice.

“Do you have throat infection?” she questioned me with confused look. “Hmm…why?”, I replied still maintaining my feminine tone. “Nothing, your voice kind of sounds like male voice.”, she began to laugh.

“Ohh…”, I blushed a bit still smiling. Deepa came out after sometime and held my hand.

“Cute daughter”, she waved at Deepa who quickly hid behind me holding my saree. “Thanks”, I smiled and signaled Deepa to wave back. “Use some cough syrup”, she gave a doctor’s advice. “Sure…”, I blushed and left with Deepa for the show.

After the show got completed, I quickly rushed back to the car carrying Deepa as I did not want to meet any of Deepa’s teachers. “Mmm… not a bad one”, I reminisced the exhilarating experience while travelling back to my apartment.

I saw Deepa fast asleep and soothed her by brushing her hair. But the excitement turned into dread as I saw the rich boys standing near the basement staring at my car.

We all are beautiful human beings, and we all have the right to look beautiful. Just because I was born in a male body, I am not going to give up my right. If all the men in this world could think like us crossdressers, a world would be a more beautiful place.

The New Wife

When a man explored what it means to be a newly-wed woman …

English

हिंदी

We were on our honeymoon. I don’t need to say that we both were really happy and enjoying our time as a couple. But I was really curious about one thing about my wife. You might have noticed that about other newly married women too. For some reason, it is so easy to identify a newly married woman in a crowd. I wonder what it is about them that makes them appear different from any other regular women, married or single.

May be it has to do with the way newly married women smile shyly. But why do they feel so shy? While thinking about that, I asked my wife, “Hey. Can I ask you something? Why do you feel so shy when we go out? And why do you keep blushing?” I was really curious because my wife was not a typical homely, shy or an old-fashioned girl. She used to work for an MNC and was quite an outgoing girl who wouldn’t otherwise be made to feel shy so easily. She smiled listening to my question and said, “Hmm… I can’t really explain that to you. I guess you need to experience being a newly wed woman in order to truly understand it.”

“So, help me understand. I can be a new wife for a day, and you can pretend to be a husband or whatever you want to be today”, I joked with a hope that she will let me be a woman for a day. “OK. Let’s do that!”, she said excitingly. I could not believe that she agreed! I told you she was not a typical shy woman. She saw this opportunity as some kind of a challenge that she gladly agreed to take on.

Being a cross-dresser myself who had gone out en femme before, it didn’t take me long to find a shop to buy a wig for me. And by the time I came back to our hotel room with a long hair wig in my hand, my wife had already selected a saree and a jewelry set that I would be wearing today. It was a purple saree with golden border, a very heavy designer saree to say the least. I loved it the very instant I laid my eyes on it. Deep inside, I was just waiting for the opportunity to wear it myself. But it was my wife who actually helped me wear it. So far, I hadn’t told her about my cross-dressing or the fact that I actually know how to drape a saree myself! After getting me ready, she herself wore a jeans and a t-shirt without much jewelry like she would on her regular days at work.

Soon after we both were ready, we left our hotel room and were in the city. So far, I didn’t find any reason to blush or feel shy, except for the fact that it is always thrilling for any crossdresser to go out en femme. We both were very casual as if there was nothing special about us going out as two women. We loved walking together. And after walking for a little while, my wife found a spot and said to me, “Why don’t you stand their and pose for a picture?” I really didn’t mind posing for a picture and I was ready to gladly oblige to her request. But just when I was about to walk towards the place to pose, she whispered something in my ears. She said, “You know you look really sexy in that saree. I can’t wait to get back to our hotel room and unwrap that saree from your body, and make love to you today.”

And suddenly, her words made me really conscious of my looks and my body. I began to blush, and subconsciously I folded my hands and began to smile shyly. Now, I understood why newly wed women stand out blushing! It is not just that a newly wed woman has to wear gaudy clothes and jewelry which regular women don’t wear in their daily lives, but also words like these which their husbands tell them that make them blush. After that incident, I kept blushing the whole day while we were out, whenever she looked at me with her desire-filled eyes.

And when we got back to our hotel room after a lovely day, my wife came up to me and asked, “So, did you get the answer to your question? Did you enjoy your experience as a newly-wed woman?” I looked at her with a smile on my face and said, “Yes, I got my answer. And yes!!! I loved the experience.” She smiled at me and said, “I too loved the experience of seeing you blush today.” And she hugged me.

Suhasini: The Stress

Will Suhasini be able to manage her dual roles as a father working full time and as a mother for her daughter Deepa?

Click here to read all the parts of this story

“MOTHER”, the word and Aarthi’s smile indicated that she had given her approval. Things turned back to normal between us and regular contacts resumed. She would appreciate me but she was careful not to come between me and my daughter during weekends. Whenever I invited her to visit my place, she would politely decline it as she did not wish to barge in and disrupt the moments between Deepa and
her mother. After my prolonged persistence, she visited on rare occasions and slowly joined the party.

Over the months, whenever she had free time she would come to our apartment over weekends and help me in preparing dishes and other routines. Also she would help in correcting my makeup and dressing mistakes. She would also advise me about how women feel and behave during different situations. Having her beside me provided a morale boost which helped me in enhancing my feminine qualities even whenever I became a mother. On top of it, exploring the feminine world was a revelation as I saw the world through my wife’s eye.

z1
I now had Aarthi’s approval who would frequently give me advice on how to behave as a woman.

Rubini was totally impressed when I informed her about Aarthi’s advice and she too decided to listen to her advice via phone calls/chats. I couldn’t ask for
anything more in my life and the weekends were just nothing short of adventure.

Until…

“Guhan, do you have minute”, my manager called me from his cabin. “Yes, Amrish”, I stood before him.

“Please take a seat”, my manager pulled the chair near him. I closed the door and seated myself in front of him. “You are aware that our project is currently in YELLOW”, my manager opened a power point and showed me the burn out chart.

“Yes, I saw them in the mail. But, that’s not a problem. We can complete it before deadline”, I gave him my assurance. “That’s the problem here”, he twisted my answer. “Why do you think so?” I enquired him about the problem.

“Today morning, customer has come up with a new deadline. We have to release it 3 months before the estimated deadline”, I was in utter shock as he spoke. “That’s impossible”, I pointed him about the toll it would take on Team leaders and junior engineers if it were to be done earlier.

“I too felt the same. But you know, customer says we do it”, he too was helpless as he said. “May be we can arrange a meeting and discuss with team”, I too felt the same as customers are gods in corporate culture. Amrish quickly booked a meeting and brainstormed with team to meet the new deadline. It was decided at the end that all engineers will be working on weekends.

“Not as bad as I thought, I will work from home” I said to myself and informed my manager. “Sorry Guhan, I need you in office”, Amrish rejected me in no time.

“But I can’t, I have a daughter…”, I narrated my reality. “I know, just till release. Leave her under your relatives care till then”, Amrish was in no mood to entertain me. “Shit man! It is bad” I cursed myself and accepted his proposal.

If accepting to come on weekends was harder, then convincing my daughter to allow me was the hardest. “Deepa”, I slowly opened up the topic while eating. “Yeah”, she replied looking at TV. “Mommy can’t come this weekend because…” I made weird expressions as I begun to explain her. “NOOO!!!!” she screamed at the top of her lungs and rushed to the bed and locked it from inside. “Deepa, listen to me” I knocked the door only to receive a loud scream again. “You Liar” I could only hear her muffled screams behind the door. “Deepa, please”, I slowly explained the crisis situation I was facing in my office. I stood in front of the door with silence giving me company. After 15 minutes of pin-drop silence, she opened rubbing her eyes. I quickly sensed that she was crying and hugged her tight. After an emotional moment, she kissed me on the cheek and went to sleep.

I completely stopped dressing for next two months to endure the painful night and weekend works. But, what was more painful to endure was to see my daughter’s happiness crumbling in front of my eyes. During the initial weekends, she would at look at me on Friday nights hoping that her mother will come this week. But, it only seconds for me to crush her dreams by saying a plain NO. Soon, she understood me and stopped her pesters. Though she behaved normally her eyes suggested the converse. Every weekend, she would look at her mother’s wardrobe for few moments and touch them to get the feel. In spite of noticing her, I continue with my work.

Soon the deadline week arrived and the pressure increased exponentially to deliver a quality product. The pressure gripped me to the core to the extent that I began to work from home in late nights. During one such night, Deepa came to me with an invitation. “Annual Day Celebrations” I glanced through the card as I read the title and fortunately the date was a week after the release.

“We will definitely go” I gave my thumbs up to her and continued my work. “But?” she placed a twist in her sentence. “But, what?” I looked puzzled and looked at her eagerly. “I want to go with Mother”, her words threw me off my groove. “What?” I was befuddled by her request. “Okay…uh…I will ask and tell you tomorrow”, I did not want to start an argument late night and requested her to sleep.

Working late night shifts and skipping meals took a toll on my body. “Amrish, I am not feeling well. I am going home”, I requested permission from my manager. “Time is…uh…12:30. But, the release is tomorrow!” my manager was skeptical of my permission. “Yeah, don’t worry. I will login from home” I assured him and left early. Though I supported from home, I was totally drained of physical and mental health. By 4:30pm, I somehow gathered strength to pick up Deepa. “Will mommy come to function?” she began her pester from the school entrance itself. “Okay…okay”, I tried to dodge the bullet. “Answer me!” she continued her question till we reached home.

As god would have it, my manager called me to discuss another important issue just as I entered home. “Just give me a minute, Amrish”, I ran to open my laptop and began to browse through mail. Without knowing the seriousness, Deepa still continued her pester and suddenly, I snapped.

z1
I snapped at Deepa.

“Will you please stop it!” I shouted at her on top of my lungs and unknowingly knocked her on her head. She began to cry out loud which prompted me to shout at her even more. Hearing my loud scream, Aarthi who was returning to her apartment after work began to bang on my door. After I opened, she noticed Deepa crying and quickly went to console her. “Take her to your room … please”, I controlled my anger and requested Aarthi to help me. She took Deepa to her room without even looking at me. I banged the door shut and began to work on the office issues.

By the time I was done with my work, the clock reached 11pm. “Oh man!” I quickly rushed to Aarthi’s apartment and rang the bell. Aarthi opened the door holding Deepa who was fast asleep. “Thanks” I placed Deepa on my shoulders and left to my apartment. The next morning, Deepa did not even look at me while getting ready for school. “Talk to me…please”, whenever I came close to her for apology, she ignored me and carried on. “I got a surprise for you”, I used my final trick to make her talk during breakfast. “Which is?” though she was surprised, she acted normal and asked me what it was. “You know… uh… I talked to mommy”, just as uttered the word she jumped out of chair and came close to me.

z1.png
I am glad Aarthi was there to take Deepa with her.

“What did she say?” she was all over me while asking her question. “She said… uh… uh… YES”, as soon as I said, she hugged me tight and began to cry.
