Sunsetting of ICN

A FINAL GOOD-BYE

I know that this may sound like a mere formality to announce that the time for sunsetting ICN has come. A lot of emotions come to my mind when I think about all the beautiful memories we made, the excitement to read stories, the enthusiasm of you all to give your feedback, the dreams we shared and lived, everything. How can I forget that during the Covid times, ICN was bustling with activity to give us happiness when our lives had turned upside down.

I can go on and on about what we accomplished here at ICN. But let me take a moment to share how I feel at this moment. I actually feel free as if a huge burden has been removed from my shoulders. The success of this platform actually meant a tremendous amount of work to publish things on a regular basis. And I was finding it very hard to meet these expectations.

How can I thank Ankita Sharma (who never wanted credit), Shruti Sinha and Prerna Desai who had been helping me with the process for a long time? I had a full team behind me supporting and encouraging me. Still it became too much for my personal life.

Given the huge reach of this platform, I thought we will be able to revive it again and use it for better use for our cross-dressing community. But all our team members including me, got occupied with their personal lives.

Moreover, the world has changed a lot since we started ICN. Now, most people like to engage with more visual content on Instagram and Youtube. So, I have decided to let ICN go and free ourselves of any expectations of the revival.

So, my dear ladies, this is a final good bye to all our loyal readers and the beautiful contributors. Thank you very much for the sweet memories and the love you gave me. Keep smiling and stay beautiful!

Hello beautiful ladies,

Hope you are having a great time in your life. And I hope you still remember me? Of course, you do. Otherwise, I would not have received 100s of emails during the time ICN had been dormant. So, without wasting your time, let me answer your questions here and tell you about the future plans for ICN.

What happened to ICN?

You all know that after a fantastic years of 2020-21, ICN went into a dormant stage in late 2021. We tried to keep the momentum going by flowing all the stories into our sister site ICN Extension in year 2022.

All this time, I kept on thinking about reviving ICN and start writing myself. But ICN never was one-person undertaking. There were wonderful people like Prerna Desai, Lakshmi Seetha, Preeti, Devika, Ankita Sharma, Shruti Sinha who all worked behind the scenes without receiving any acknowledgement in return. Prerna Desai was single-handedly running ICN extension for more than a year. Shruti Sinha and Ankita Sharma would help with editing and even write replies to the email that were sent to me. Lakshmi Seetha, Devika, Preeti were writing good quality stories and supporting us with their encouragement.

Hi ladies, once again it is time for my monologue as the editor of ICN. I hope at least some of you have the patience to read this and share your thoughts with us.

As you all know it first hand, the crossdresser life is exciting and full of adrenaline rushing moments just like a roller-coaster ride. Be it the thrilling moment when you are ready to step outside of your home dressed-up, or the rush you feel when you try to dress-up and clean-up when you get a few precious moments to live your dreams before someone comes back to invade your privacy.

Just like our real lives, the crossdressing fiction is like a bouquet filled with flowers of varying colours. In most such stories, we see really imaginative plots where the protagonist finds himself in a situation where he needs to dress up and embrace the femininity within him. I can honestly say that no genre of fiction writing can beat the crossdressing fiction when it comes to fantasies and imagination. In fact, crossdressing fiction covers the whole range – emotions, romance, sensual, sci-fi and crime-thrillers too. 

But why am I talking about all these things? At some point, you might have guessed from the name of our website ‘Indian Crossdressing Novel’, it was meant to be a blog hosting just one novel, nothing more than that. But I was blessed to have been joined by 55+ writers, dozens of picture contributors, and tens of other readers who took part in our various writing challenges. So, ICN became the place where you can dive deep into the world of fantasy, where you can live your dreams and read your own feelings captured in those stories.

Everyone has a story

However, I understand that you not only want to read but also want to speak out and share what’s in your heart – and find comfort among the group of like-minded sisters and girlfriends just like you. That’s why, we started ICN Extension where you can express yourself freely, anonymously – without any restrictions. I am extremely thankful to Prerna Desai who  had been working diligently behind the scenes to publish the stories you submit each day so that your stories are online as soon as possible.

Till date, ICN Extension has already received submissions from 20+ readers/writers leading to 75+ posts published in less than a month. And I am just amazed by the variety of content submitted by all.

Some of the stories are really written beautifully that share the dreams of being able to cross-dress with someone you can trust (Read stories by Pankhuri). Some of the stories may not have the perfect language but are really imaginative and have descriptive plots (Stories by Samantha and Alisha). Some captions express the deep desires and dreams in imaginative scenarios (Read captions by Reshmi and Prerna). Some of the captions by Reshmi are really crisp and to the point that everyone can identify with (see [1],[2]). 

And then, there are stories that are neither perfect nor descriptive but have abrupt ideas that seem too crazy – these are the incoherent stories where you can clearly see the woman talking who had been suppressed for too long – these are the stories where the woman is trying to break free and shout out but she isn’t able to find the right words.

The point is – you may not have the perfect words, your ideas may seem crazy and jumbled up – but don’t worry. Let the woman within you speak up from the darkest corners of your heart – share what you want to share with this world – and then, leave that darkness behind and come to the light of hope where you will find sisters like you supporting you on this platform.

Everyone has a story. Don’t be afraid to share yours.

Heart-to-Heart Talk

❤ A little heart to heart ❤

This is again a moment for a little heart-to-heart talk with you all.

And why not? With tremendous support from you readers and contributors, on January 27, our website is jumping ahead from 5 million to 10 million views in just 14 months!

But this is not about the numbers, this is about the community of us girls we built together where we connected and developed in this on-going process. It is time for me to look back and review the lessons we learnt in this period.

Stories in turbulent 2020

2020 was a turbulent time for all of us. We lost our privacy, our freedom and we got stuck at our homes. But we also got a chance to be with our loved ones. And not just that, we got the chance to reconnect with our feminine self and to make new friends here. Many of you took this chance to write your stories and publish it with us. It was because of the numerous contributors, we had the largest number of stories published on ICN during the toughest times of our lives. It helped us reconnect with ourselves and experience our feminine self. Thank you to all the writers who contributed in these tough times and helped us get through this period.

Making new connections in 2020

Awesome Shruti

This is also a bittersweet moment for me as Shruti Sinha announced her taking a break from ICN after completing her masterpiece story Sanju (This is the best indian crossdressing story you can find anywhere.). She single-handedly wrote more than 70 micro-stories, captions and comics in My FM during this short period. This was besides some of the most amazing stories she published. We will always be thankful to her for her continuous help in editing and posting stories submitted to us. She was the one who revived ICN for all of us.

Going forward in 2021

This is also a moment for us to reflect upon the future of ICN. As you all know, ICN is dependent on the volunteers to update and organize stories for all of us. I really wish we had a self-running platform like fictionmania.tv where we could find all the indian crossdressing stories in one place without relying on someone to manage posting stories. I am still waiting for someone from our Indian community to build a platform like this so that we don’t have to rely on volunteers to do so.

Still the journey of ICN is not yet over. We still have many stories waiting to be told. We will do our best to share those with you as we make time from our personal lives to review those.

Once again, my heart felt thanks to everyone for your encouragement and support. My words can’t express my gratitude to each one of you. If you have any suggestions for ICN, please share it in the comments. Your suggestions and views matter to me and the ICN team a lot.
