मेरी प्रिय सहेलियों,
ज़रा सोच कर देखो कि एक दिन आपकी पत्नी या गर्लफ्रेंड अपने हाथ में ढेरो बैग लेकर आती है जिसमे खुबसूरत ड्रेस, सलवार और साड़ियाँ हो. अब सोच कर देखो कि आपको कैसा लगेगा यदि वो सभी आपके साइज़ की हो? मुझे यकीन है कि आप उन कपड़ो को जल्दी से जल्दी ट्राई करने को मचल उठेंगी. और कुछ ऐसी ही ज़िन्दगी है हमारी आकांक्षा की, गुजरात से आई इस परी को भगवान ने ऐसी कद काठी दी है जो किसी भी सामान्य लड़की से मेल खाती है.

‘आकांक्षा’ नाम का मतलब ही होता है एक हसरत एक चाहत, और हमारे जैसी लड़कियों के लिए इससे अच्छा नाम नहीं हो सकता क्योंकि हम सब के अन्दर एक चाहत बरसो से छुपी हुई है. वो चाहत है उस लड़की की जो खुलकर इस दुनिया में बाहर आकर जीना चाहती है और दिखाना चाहती है अपने अस्तित्व को. मेरी तो आकांक्षा के लिए यही चाहत है कि उसका यह सपना जल्दी ही पूरा हो. आकांक्षा १५ साल से ड्रेसिंग कर रही है और आज इस फोटो गैलरी में हम आकांक्षा की २० से अधिक तस्वीरों में देखेंगे स्त्री होने के कई रंग जिसे आकांक्षा ने बखूबी दर्शाया है… फिर चाहे वो कॉलेज की चुलबुली लड़की का रूप हो या फिर उस शादीशुदा स्त्री का जो अपनी सहेली की शादी में जाने को तैयार हुई है. तो इंतज़ार किस बात का? देखते है आकांक्षा की तसवीरें!

मेरा सुझाव: इन फोटो को देखते वक़्त उसमे छुपी हुई भावना को समझने की कोशिश भी करे. मैंने आपकी मदद के लिए हर फोटो के साथ एक छोटा सा डिस्क्रिप्शन भी लिखा है ताकि आप भी इन फोटोज का अच्छी तरह आनंद ले सके!

मेरी दुनिया

क्या देखे? इस तस्वीर को देखकर आपको नहीं लगता कि आकांक्षा हमें जैसे अपनी सुन्दर दुनिया में आमंत्रित कर रही है? ऐसा लगता है जैसे सीधी अपनी नजरो से नज़रे मिलाकर मुझसे कह रही हो, “मुझे पता है कि मैं साड़ी में खुबसूरत लगती हूँ. पर और क्या देख सकती हो तुम मेरी आँखों में?” और ये रहा मेरा जवाब:

सुनहरा ब्लाउज: मेरे ख्याल से हर औरत के पास एक सुनहरा साड़ी ब्लाउज तो होना ही चाहिए. ऐसा ब्लाउज कई तरह के रंग और फैब्रिक की साड़ियों के साथ मेल खाता है तो मैचिंग ब्लाउज सिलवाने की ज़रुरत कई बार ख़त्म हो जाती है. यह दिखने में भी रिच लुक देता है… जैसे आप एक हाई सोसाइटी की महिला हो. आकांक्षा ने जैसी साड़ी पहनी है उसमे उसकी पारदर्शिता बहुत ही लुभावनी लग रही है.

पारदर्शी साड़ी: हम औरतें भी न… हमें साड़ी पहन कर अपनी नाभि और कमर दिखाने में बड़ा मज़ा आता है. पर कभी कभी औरत और ज्यादा आकर्षित लगती है जब वो अपनी नाभि को अपनी पारदर्शी साड़ी के पीछे छुपाकर रखती है. आखिर लुका-छिपी का भी अपना आकर्षण है! और तो और यदि हमारी फिगर में कुछ कमी रह जाए तो वो भी इस लुका-छिपी में छुप जाती है!

रंगीन बिंदी: जब हम औरतों के पास रंगों के इतने सारे आप्शन है तो न जाने क्यों हम अक्सर अपनी बिंदियों का रंग सिर्फ मैरून या ब्लैक रखती है? मुझे तो बड़ी ख़ुशी हुई आकांक्षा को इस तरह रंगीन बिंदी लगाये हुए देख कर.

पॉवर पोज़: मेरे विचार में ऐसा पोज़ हम सभी को ट्राई करना चाहिए जब भी हम अपनी पसंदीदा साड़ी पहने. इस पोज़ में आकांक्षा न केवल फेमिनिन लग रही है बल्कि अपनी फेमिनिनिटी में कॉंफिडेंट भी लग रही है!

Dear ladies,
Imagine one day your wife or girlfriend comes home with bags full of pretty dresses, salwars and sarees. Now imagine how would you feel if all those clothes are of your size! How excited would you be to try it all? And such is the life for our beautiful Aakanksha, a girl from Gujarat, who is lucky enough to be born with a figure and height that matches that of a typical girl.

‘Akanksha’ whose name means desire or wish in Sanskrit, is an apt name for a girl like her, who is radiating with glow and eagerly waiting for the opportunity to show her existence in this world. My only wish is that her dreams come true some day soon. Welcome to my world

What to observe? Don’t you think that this picture is really inviting you to Akanksha’s world? It feels like she is looking straight into my eyes, and saying to me, “I know I look good in this saree. But what else do you see?” And here is my answer:

The rich golden blouse: I think a golden saree blouse is a must have item in every Indian girl’s closet. It not only goes well with a range of colors and saree fabrics, it also appears rich and expensive. It just instantly moves you up into a high class woman. Here Akanksha is wearing a blouse that has a nice see-through pattern on the top, which makes it even sexy!

The transparent saree: As much as we ladies are tempted to show our back or our navel when wearing a saree, I feel that a woman looks more sensuous when she covers it all with her transparent saree. The skin peeking behind that transparent saree looks more attractive and may even help to hide some of the flaws we may have. A win-win situation!

The colorful bindi: As a girl when you have a choice to embrace all the colors in life, then why most of girls limit the colors of our bindi to maroon or black? I am so delighted to see Akanksha sporting a bright color bindi!

The power pose: I think this is one pose all of us girls should definitely give a try when we wear our pretty saree next time. In this pose, Akanksha not only looks feminine but also very powerful and confident in her femininity!
